I am now starting to make sales!

After a long times of learning and being trained by some of the best marketers on the internet I am starting to make some money now. I have made 2 sales this week alone which is the most I have ever made in a month and the month is not over with yet.

I am pretty excited. I am going to be making some more niche sites and will try out the Amazon affiliate program if they are nice and let me in.

Do follow links. How to get them from social media sites and more!

Okay so I have been learning a lot lately. I am going to share a little bit of what I have learned.

So when you want to rank a site you want do follow links from social bookmarking sites,social media sites and RELATED blogs and websites. The links being related helps a lot more than links that are not related.

So what you can do is go to a search engine and type in something related to your niche. You can type in a number of keywords and look at the sites up top.

Since google seems to be slow at showing what sites are linking to each other and they really just dont show many links even if you have more you will want to go to yahoo.

Go to yahoo and type in link:yoururlhere.com

This will show the links pointing to a website. You can now take webpages,ezine articles,squiddo lenses or whatever and see what is pointing to them to keep them in the top spots. This can help you find new sites to put your links on.

Now check and make sure they are no follow as sometimes sites change and go no follow but the links will still be in yahoo.

Now try and get as many links as you can. You can also type in “do follow social” and “do follow blogs” into a search engine and that will show you a bunch of sites that are no follow.

One site that does not get enough attention is mixx. I used mixx all by itself to take my new website clear to a PR3 the first update and now a couple of months later it is a PR4 with no extra work. Mixx is a do follow site like digg.

I hope this helps some of you. Take the time and at least get a few links. According to what I have been told as I am new to this it may take a while for your ezine articles and websites to rank even with links.

Okay so I have been away from my blog here for a while. I have been sorta puting it off but I am here with a new post. I am going to be talking about what I am now doing and where I am learning it at. This is NOT a post JUST to promote this website but it goes along with what I am doing.

I know how to make money online as I started this website. My tips here are just basic though and so far they are none going to make you rich enough to live off of what you earn unless you work very very hard.

I am trying to learn new better and easier ways to make money online. I am looking for something more automated but yet something that you will have to put work into. I do not mind working just that I want to earn money for it. Writing 30 articles a day for a few bucks per article is NOT good enough and just short term. I am sure you all know that also.

I have been learning how to make money online through Niche Choppers

This site has a nice bunch of info on all sorts of ways to make money. I am learning for one how to market online with articles. It is called article marketing and requires very little money to get started and really you could do it with NO money but paying for a .info domain is $1.15 but you can use a free wordpress or blogger to get started.

There are lots of marketers on the site and people who make A LOT of money each year online. The forums themselves from what I have read so far are filled with info and you also get ebooks. There is a VIP area for when you get enough points up(plus other things) that has even better info in it.

It is 12 bucks a month if you order 3 months which I suggest you do(at least) and is worth it for the support you get from these guys. Go check it out and trust me it is a great site!

Get your domain names for free, well sorta. It’s free investment money!

Some of you may have read my post on how to make money with Associated content. If you have not I suggest you go back and read the post.

For a lot of us we would like to invest into something that will make us more money than we put into it. Even if it is only a few bucks if you repeat the process over and over it will add up and later on you will have a nice monthly income.

So I was thinking about writing articles for money on the internet. Places like Associated content pay descent for the articles you send to them. So what you can do is you can write a few articles. Let’s just say you get only 3 bucks per 400-500 word articles at Associated content.

Well you then write just 3 articles and use those godaddy discount codes and you have a domain name for a year and some money to spare.

When you think about it this makes perfect sense. I have been known to be very tight with my money. So when I want to invest in something and not have it come out of my pocket I can write some articles for Associated content or some of the other places you can write articles and get paid.

The money is sent directly to my paypal account. I can then buy my domain name/s and set up a new site for free. It will cost me nothing but a little bit of time to earn the money for the domain name and then I am set.

This can be done with more than just domains. Next time you go out to eat, come back home and earn the money you just spent and it will be like you got the meal for free.

I personally use godaddy as my hosting provider. I have for years and as far as I can see I will continue to use them. I recently found out you can use discount codes for hosting and domain name purchases at godaddy.

I saved a good bit of money when I upgraded my hosting at godaddy and I even bought a new domain name for $7.75 or something. I saved I think 20% on hosting and the domain so it was a great deal.

So be sure and check the codes and godaddy out for yourself!

When setting up a Wordpress blog set up the permalinks right!

When you first set up a wordpress blog you may not know ANYTHING about how to do it. Then little by little you will figure it out and find out that wordpress is pretty simple to use. So you get your template set up and you start posting content.

One thing you do not need to forget to set up is the permalink settings. You probably did not even know about this and this may be the first time you have heard about it. The permalinks are the link styles you can set up for the URL’s in the top of the internet browsers.

From default wordpress will just use numbers for the post. It will be something like yourwebsite.com/?post=3

This means that your posts title will NOT appear in the link. It is best for the post title to appear in the link as you can get more keywords into the search engines with it this way. It is real easy to change. Go to your Admin control panel and hit Settings and then hit Permalinks.

Now go the bottom and check the bubble beside “Custom” and put this in the custom blank “/%postname%/”. Do not use the ” ” just /%postname%/. Now you are set up and ready to go. It is better to do this as soon as you set up your blog but it can be done at any time. All the links coming to your old url’s will just redirect and work fine.

If one idea fails at making money, don’t give up, try try again!

So many people dream of making money online. The thought of being able to sleep in and work when we want to sounds great. The other benefits like you are the boss and no driving(time nor gas money) also makes the thought of working for yourself at home sound great.

So a lot of us go to a search engine and type in “how to make money online” or “how to make money at home”.

There are MILLIONS of results for these and other similar terms and a lot of them are just advertisements. A lot of people would love to sell you their “Secrets” to making money online that they “Have never shared until now!!!”.

The thing is real “Secrets” are NOT going to be sold. Now in some cases the secrets could be sold and it would not matter. Some things do not max out because of competition but a lot of the big money earners do max out when more competition comes into the same market.

I am not saying all the info you may buy from the internet sites will be bad but just be careful. I would suggest you buy from sites like clickbank or at least buy from people who offer a money back guarantee.

Now let’s just say you have worked hard and put a idea to work that you got from a paid or free information source. You put a lot of time into it and then it makes you no money. Many people get so angry that they just give up on making money online.

They will say that it is too hard for them and that they do not understand it. We all have to start at the bottom and learn. For some they may keep on trying, lots and lots of times only to fail each time.

The thing is you are not going to get anywhere by quitting. Quitting is guaranteed failure. When you quit the you are not moving forward any longer. Have you ever heard the saying “Falling is still forward motion.”

We learn from our mistakes and our failures. If we quit when others told us to or when we failed we would get nowhere in life. These people making millions online worked very hard to get where they are today. One thing I have heard several times from these people is, once you get a system working good it is easy to keep it moving. It is hard to get the system rolling but once it gets going it is a lot easier to keep it going.

I have also heard it said many times that when people give up or quit they are usually to the point of making it over the hill or they are to the point to where they would start having success.

So do not give up and stop trying. Keep reading how others did it while you try to do it. Go out and ask the successful for advice as a lot of them will help you out. They may not give you their secrets but they can help set you on the right track.

I would like for you to watch this video of people who were, because of perseverance successful. If they had quit like they may have wanted to or because they were told they would never be anything then they would have never been anything.

How to start your own site and make money with it

I want to provide a little info on just how to start a website. I do not have to be too technical when talking about this as it is not that hard. After you do this a few times it will get easier. It is just like learning anything else, it will take some time and some studying but you will figure it out if you try.

Don’t make up the excuse that this stuff is over your head. You CAN do it if you try hard enough. Sure for some people things like this just seem to come to them. The thing is they sat down and studied and learned how to do it. Some may have paid people to teach them things like this while others read online and did it themselves.

You probably know some HTML but if not you need to learn the basics at least. That is about all you will need to start off and you may never need to know advanced HTML or other code languages to make money on the internet.

Now the next step is to either buy a custom made template, get someone to make you a custom one for free(people will do this for a permanent link at the bottom of the site saying who built it) or go get a free template(which will also have a link to who built it at the bottom of the site).

I have had a custom template built for free before and the rest of the sites I have or had have used a free template. Some templates can cost a lot of money and custom ones that nobody else will have can run up the cost a lot also. Like some sites will custom build you a template and won’t resell it and you get all the rights.

I personally would use a free template or not spend over 50 bucks for a custom done template. This site here uses a custom template as of now that I have edited. You can do a lot to a template if you know how.

So do a search on a search engine for “free templates”: http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&=&q=free+templates&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f

If you are using a blog like say a wordpress blog you will be looking for a wordpress template.

Once you have one you like and have it downloaded you will want to edit the template. With wordpress you will do this in the Admin controls under the theme editor tab.

For a simple HTML webpage you will need to find the index.html page in the folder and edit it. Things like page names and the info will need to be edited probably. Most of the templates will have some filler info that you will remove and put your own content into it.

Make a copy of the index.html folder before editing the original.

Simply right click on the index.html file and click edit. A text editor program will now load and show you the pages code. It may look a bit scary but really it is simple to mess with.

You will need to put in your domain info also. You will see two of these one at the top and one at the bottom:

You can change the page names and in the parenthesis ” ” area you will have to put in your domain name and then /yourpagename.html

Make sure the your pages name is correctly capitalized or not otherwise the page might not load.

You will then proceed to edit the filler text with your own text and you are set with the homepage. Now you will need to copy that copy of the index.html page again and rename it whatever you want a new page to be called. That is why you keep a backup of the index.html or one of the reasons.

You will then edit its text and put in the page info as I spoke of above. Once you are done you will upload the pages to your host. Where to put the files in your webhost can be different from host to host but it is usually under the WWW folder. They will provide the info you need to do this on their site.

What is the best webhost for your website? Buying Hosting and Domain tips.

When you go to make your first website and you are looking for a descent host it can be hard. You have no idea what sites to trust or anything about hosting or buying a domain.

The thing is do not stick with free hosting and for sure do not stick with a free domain. I think the FIRST thing you should do when making a website is to get a domain name. Do not even use those free subdomains.

It is better to build up links to a permanent domain and get your sites name out there. Domains are so cheap you are being a tight wad if you can’t pay 10 bucks a year for a domain name.

There are thousands of places I bet on the internet to buy domains and hosting. The problem is some of the hosting sites are new or not reliable and may dissapear over night.

I am just going to talk about the one I have used for many years now. I use Godaddy hosting. You may have seen their super bowl commercials on tv. The hosting is always up and even with a shared hosting plan seems to be decently fast at loading pages. The economy plan is under 5 bucks a month and a lot of sites may never max that plan out.

You can buy domains and hosting at Godaddy and you will get a good deal. I would give them a try if I were going out to get a hosting plan or domain name.

I also want to tell you that I found a source of codes you can use when buying a domain,hosting or anything else on their site. You can get like 20% off hosting and 20% off domains!

Make money with online forums by selling signature links and Avatars

I want to start off by saying I do not know how big of a market there is for this. I know that there is some demand and so I will write on it.

I go to the Digital Point forums about every day and post. I found out a little while ago that you could sell link space in your signatures. I am not sure how many links you can have in your signature. Be sure and read the rules.

Members that have a lot of posts sell these links to the highest bidder. I came across one guy who had a message in his signature that said you could buy a link for 120 bucks a month. This guy had like 10,000 posts or more. I sent him a private message and asked him if he ever did get 120 bucks for a link and he said yes. Two out of Three links were being used in his signature at the time but I am not sure if they were his site or others who had paid 120 bucks for a months time.

Like I said I am not sure of the demand for this but I do see several people selling them. They go the the subforum under the Buy, Sell, Trade forum and sell the links in the link sales forum.

I also found out that you can sell Avatar images on the site. What I mean by this is the image you use for your avatar can be sold and people will buy it to advertise their website with it. I heard of a guy getting like 8 bucks a month for it.

You could probably do this in other forums also but I am not sure. It may not be much but it is pretty cool to get some money for just posting on a forum. So go out and give it a try!
